Treatment
The FUE (Follicular Unit Excision) hair transplant is a procedure in which individual hair follicles are extracted from the back and sides of the scalp and transplanted into bald or thinning areas. Within 6–12 months, these hairs begin to grow, resulting in natural hair regrowth in the treated areas. The final result is a rejuvenated, natural appearance.
How does it work?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The doctor individually extracts the hair follicles from the donor area. While our technicians sort the grafts, the recipient area is carefully prepared. Finally, the grafts are implanted to achieve the most natural result possible.
Why do we use the FUE technique?
Minimally invasive · Highest precision · Faster healing · Barely visible scars · Higher graft survival rate.
Who is suitable for FUE?
Healthy patients with stabilized hair loss are suitable candidates. It is especially recommended for men with hereditary hair loss, but also for women or patients with hair loss caused by burns or trauma. Hair transplantation is usually recommended from around age 30 when hair loss becomes more predictable.
Expected result
In the first 1–3 months, the transplanted hairs usually shed (shock loss). After that, they begin to regrow within 4–12 months. The final result becomes visible after about 9–12 months.
Treatment duration: approx. 8 hours
Discomfort: Mild to moderate
Healing: 10–14 days

FAQ
Do you have more questions or would you like to learn more?
Contact usWill my hair transplant look natural?
Definitely! One of the main advantages of the FUE technique is that donor hairs are extracted in so-called follicular units. Since this is the natural growth pattern of hair, the transplanted hair looks completely natural.
Will I need a second hair transplant later?
If your hair loss is not stabilized with medications such as Finasteride or Minoxidil, you may need a second hair transplant. A holistic approach – medicine AND surgery – is important. With stabilized hair loss or if you are older than 27, a second transplant is usually not necessary.
When should I get an FUE hair transplant?
A hair transplant is not recommended for very young patients (<27 years), as hair loss caused by the hormone DHT is still very active. We recommend starting medical treatments first to stabilize hair loss. This makes your results more lasting, the surgery easier, and the costs lower.
Which hairline should I choose?
Our doctors recommend a mature hairline that suits you in the long term. A very low, youthful hairline is not advisable as it requires many grafts, looks unnatural, and may become unesthetic with further hair loss.
How soon will I see results?
In the first 1–3 months, the transplanted hairs usually fall out. From the 4th to 12th month, they start growing again. The final result is visible after about 9–12 months.
How long does an FUE hair transplant take?
The duration depends on the number of grafts. For an average of 2000 grafts, the treatment takes 6–8 hours. During the procedure, you can read, watch movies, or listen to music.
How much does a hair transplant cost?
The cost depends on the required number of grafts and hair type. On average, about 2000 grafts are needed. typically, we charge reasonable prices per graft in Germany. For an exact quote, we recommend a personal consultation.
How long does a hair transplant last?
The results can last 15–20 years or even a lifetime. With hair loss medication, the results are even more durable. Without stabilization, a second or third transplant may later be necessary.
Does a hair transplant hurt?
Most patients feel no pain during the procedure as local anesthesia is applied. Painkillers can be given if needed. To help you relax, we also offer music, movies, aromatherapy, and a pleasant environment.
Am I a good candidate for an FUE hair transplant?
In general, the FUE technique is suitable for men and women of all hair types. Key factors include: the extent of hair loss, quality and density of donor hair, and possible future changes. Our specialists provide individual consultations.
